Tactical Sights Dark Diamond Night Sight

Advantage Tactical Sights (Santa Fe, NM) recently announces their new Dark Diamond Night Sight (ATS-DD). The ATS-DD is an iron sight for Glocks — all models and all generations — they tell us will allow a shooter to more effectively and accurately hit a target in the dark.

Tactical Sights Dark Diamond Night Sight

Designed for speed, precision, and clarity of sight picture, our one-sight- fits-all Glock Dark – Diamond pistol sight kit includes:
– 2 Dark Diamond Fireflies — coral and lime-yellow
-.029″ of elevation shim (pink = .015″, clear = .008″, tan = .004″, red = .002”)
– Front sight tool, 1/16 rear sight set-screw hex key
Start with one .015″ (pink) shim and adjust from there, after a first group. Amount of
needed shim will vary, depending on load and particular barrel. Approximately, each
increment of .002″ to .0025″ of elevation shim will affect bullet impact by 1″ at 25 yards.
With the tools provided with each sight kit, most will be able to install Glock ATS-Dark
Diamond sights without professional help.

Advance Tactical Sights went on to tell us how it functions:

Simply align the front and rear sights in daylight or darkness and when you see a diamond shape you know you're aligned. The tip of the diamond is where your shot will go.

1) Rear sight. 2) Front Sight. 3) Front and Rear Sight Aligned in Daylight. 4) Front and Rear Sight Aligned in Darkness.

ATS President Richard Nasef even stated:

“Before the Dark Diamond Night Sight, other sights with an illuminated front sight were only accurate at distances of up to 5 yards. With the Dark Diamond Sight, you can reach out to distances of 15, 20, 25 yards and beyond in total darkness.
