Outdoor Tannerite 1: Shooter’s Leg: 0 Recoil Staff March 28, 2016 Join the Conversation Tannerite Shooter Loses Leg This is why we can't have nice things. Apparently a couple days ago a Georgia man decided to do a little plinking out in the woods. He took a friend, his rifle and some Tannerite, packing the latter into an old riding lawn mower. In defiance of common sense, Darwinism and the law of averages he then closed to a reported range of about 15 yards to shoot it. The resulting explosion threw shrapnel about, including one piece that severed the young man's leg at the knee. We're glad the young man survived and hate to see anyone affected in such a way over a stupid mistake. If you're going to use something dangerous, you need first to use your head. We wish him a speedy recovery and hope some sort of good comes out of this story as a cautionary tale. Warning: graphic content, NSFW.
