Taran Tactical Innovations has announced the CZ version of their widely used and well regarded “Firepower Base Pads” are finally available in their web store. The TTI Firepower magazine extension base pads are currently available in flat black, black, titanium gray and OD green. All run $29.99 each.
In addition to several RECOIL staffers like Reeder, Merrill, and Osuna (whose approval could mean a lot or nothing), TTI Firepower base pad magazine extensions are used by many law enforcement professionals and numerous competitive shooters (some of whom are well respected instructors of impeccable pedigree). Among the latter are Candice Horner, Robert Vogel, Diana Hufstedler, Allie Barrett and others.
TTI extensions aren't just available for the CZ75. You can purchase them for everything from Glock 42s and 43s up in .380 and 9mm to .308 extensions for the AR10. They offer other accessories as well (buffer springs, comps, gunsmithing and stocks for instance).
It doesn't, however, look like they off anything for the Lorcin .25 or .32. Sorry Englewood and Hyde Park shooters.
Although these were designed for the CZ's 18 round magazines, TTI advises they will work on the 16, but that they're, “…working on a basepad [for] the 16 and that will fit that 140 gauge. Right now, for the +2 we are using the stock spring. We are working on a spring and follower, stay tuned!”
Note that these TTI Firepower base pads will fit the 16, 17 and 18 round Meggar mags.
Installation of the CZ Mag Extension (like all its cousins that have come before) is very simple. Here's how it's explained by TTI:
*Remove the metal insert at the bottom before installation*
*Does not come with an allen key. The screws are set with Loctite to achieve a nice tension with the pin. If the pin is very loose use a 1/16 allen(hex) to tighten it.*– This new base pad is designed to give you the edge over the competition.
– Patented proven push pin design
– Super easy to attach and detach from the magazine
– No specialty tools or devices required to disassemble
– One piece design, no extra parts to possibly lose during disassembly
– Fits the USPSA 140mm gauge
– Holds 20+1 rounds of 9mm in the CZ 18 round magazine
– Easy to reload into the gun with a full mag
– Adds weight to magazine so mags drop free easier for faster reloads
– CNC machined from billet aluminum
– Hard Anodized
– Made in the USA
