Learn More Yankee Hill Machine has just announced their first entry into the world of bolt action rifles with their new MARC Sport chassis. This new lightweight modular chassis is available for the Remington and Savage long and short action platforms. The grip features an integrated thumb rest and “V” bedding for increased comfort and accuracy. MARC Sport Chassis with the MARC handguard and the MARC Arca-Swiss Rail attached The ambidextrous design with its block-off plate allows the chassis to be configured for right- or left-handed operation, eliminating the need for a shooter-specific stock. The MARC Sport uses an AR-style buttstock, which can connect to the chassis via an A2 or carbine stock adapter. The chassis includes the shooter’s choice of adapter, but either can be purchased separately to accommodate changes in preference. A carbine folding adapter that will fold to either side is currently in development along with a modular buttstock with an adjustable cheek rest. MARC Sport Chassis with MARC handguard, MARC Arca-Swiss Rail, and A2 and Carbine adapters The MARC Sport accepts AICS pattern magazines and features a melonite-finished ambidextrous magazine catch. An optional M-LOK handguard, which is cut to accommodate low scope mounting rings, can be attached to the MARC chassis to increase modularity. An Arca-Swiss Rail mounting surface attachment, which is compatible with a variety of camera tripod adapters, can be added to the bottom of the chassis, making the system even more versatile. MARC Sport Chassis Carbine Adapter The MARC Sport Bolt-Action Chassis retails for $499, which includes either an A2 or carbine stock adapter. The MARC Chassis handguard and the MARC Arca-Swiss Rail are listed at $99 each. Also new from YHM is the Turbo K 5.56mm suppressor. This unique little guy made from 17-4 stainless steel uses a tubeless design with a heat treated 718 Inconel blast baffle. This combination of materials allows the suppressor to be full-auto rated with a minimum barrel length requirement of 10-inches. The blast chamber is threaded to 1-3/8”-24 thread to accommodate a multitude of available mounting options. The Turbo K with direct thread and Q.D. adapters The Turbo K comes with two mounting configurations, a ½”-28 direct thread adapter and he YHM Q.D. adapter. The length of the suppressor is 4.9-inches with the direct thread mount and 5.5-inches with the Q.D. The weight of the unit is 10.5oz and 11.5oz respectively. With an average sound pressure level of 138dB on a 16” barrel with 55-grain ammunition, the Turbo K is within the 140dB hearing safe threshold. The MSRP on the Turbo K is $465, making it one of the most affordable full-featured suppressors on the market.
