Triple Aught Design recently released a limited edition run of the ‘Tracer Jacket' they say “…mirrors the protective shield [the Samurai] donned during times of war.”
Available in Black and Leviathan Green, in sizes XS through 3X, this Five Rings Tracer MSRP's for $190.
Says Triple Aught Design,
“The samurai were an elite class of noble warriors. Their imposing armor was built to enlarge their presence and intimidate their enemies. It also served a very distinct functional purpose for combat. Unlike the garb worn by European knights, samurai uniforms were extremely modular to enhance speed and mobility. By their standards, a good suit had to be sturdy, yet flexible enough to allow its wearer free movement in the battlefield. Our Tracer Jacket mirrors the protective shield that these legendary warriors donned during times of war.
This first run, limited edition of our Tracer features a unique double face stretch fabric made on a special knitting machine. The internal polyester brushed construction keeps you warm and dry, while the external Merino wool blend face provides an efficient, natural moisture management system. Sleekly structured and durable, our strategically placed nylon reinforcements were inspired from the samurai’s impressive winged shoulders and massive overvest and act as additional protection. Behind each level, much like the original layers that built their suits, we integrated concealed, secure pockets behind the front hand pockets and bicep pockets.
Suit up with the Tracer and create a dangerous presence in the face of evil.”
