Learn More W2H Kydex is a one-man custom Kydex “shop.” It has wallets, magazine carriers, holsters and the like available, but it's the tourniquet (TQ) carrier that originally attracted my attention. These TQ carriers can be run vertically or horizontally as well as with clips for mounting on rigger belts and with PALS style back clips for MOLLE channels (including bar tacks on the sides to prevent rotation). Apparently they're also available with some mechanism by which to mount a TQ to the inside of a vehicle by the windshield for access by the driver (unless maybe this is a belt clip version tucked back behind the panel). TQ holders are obviously not the only things he builds – as you can see, he's crafted a number of “pouches” for seatbelt cutters, numerous holsters, rifle magazine carriers (which feature a tension screw, FYI) and assorted other oddments. The gear is built by “Woody” Woodruff, a retired light infantryman turned PSD contractor of many years experience – in fact there are many times that what he's selling has actually been built during his off hours in Afghanistan. You can find W2H Kydex on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/W2hKydex or make contact at W2H.Kydex(at)gmail.com. As an aside, the stuff he's building must not only work, it can apparently take a beating — a lot of guys working PSC/PMC contracts overseas are using them out on the sharp end. Now granted, the fact that Woody's a 2 CIB- and Master Parachutist badge-wearing veteran of 3rd BN/505th PIR, LRSD 25th ID, TF 1 Operations Group Ft. Polk, the National Police Transition Team in Samarra Iraq and other units doesn't guarantee the quality of his Kydex gear — but it certainly means he has a pretty good idea of what works when it matters. Although I haven't personally tried any of Woody's gear, I know several people who have and all of them are eminently satisfied.
