Guns Seeing helps the believing – Aero Precision’s M4E1 Enhanced Upper Receiver David Reeder August 4, 2014 0 COMMENT Today RECOIL rolls out the first of its new video overview series with a look at the M4E1 AR15 Enhanced Upper Receiver from Aero Precision. For the series debut the boss builds an M4E1 into a carbine and takes it to the range – you’ll be able to follow as he assembles the AR, then watch and listen as he (meaning RECOIL editor Iain Harrison) makes the finished weapon go loud. It’s one thing to read about index pins, barrel nuts and gas tube alignments but something else entirely to watch the process as it is explained – we hope you’ll benefit from our new video effort. For those who want it written in black and white, the final rifle build is an M4E1 Enhanced Upper Receiver (7075 T6 forged aluminum) with a 15″ Keymod handguard, 16″ M4 profile barrel on an Aero Precision Gen 2 (ambi) lower receiver with a Battle Arms Development BAD-ASS-ST Ambi Safety Selector Short Throw 50and Norgon Ambi-Catch Magazine Release. We’ll be going cyclic on the videos in coming months, but we need some input from you. What do you want to see? Want us see how the Tyr Tactical XFrame works on an O-course or watch the MICO during an assault? Interested in watching some Mali-gators try out the new K9 gear coming from US Palm and Cynology War Labs, see how their Targa does on a scaling ladder or have a ballistician take a look at Aguila Ammunition? Do you have something you want us to showcase? If so, you need to let us know, but be advised – if it sucks, we’re going to say so. What do you want to see?
