Featured Anyone Need a New [Armored] Car? Dave Merrill November 14, 2017 Join the Conversation Recently Atlantic Firearms put up something new for sale: A British FV721 Fox Reconnaissance Vehicle. Not to be confused with the American M93A1 reconnaissance vehicle with a similar name, the FV721 sports four [bigassed] wheels and a 4.2 liter Jaguar engine. With a weight of over six tons, all we can assure you is that it will get slightly worse mileage than our Ballistic Bronco. In service, the FV721 has a 30mm L21 canon, but unfortunately this one was converted for simulated fire. Blame Hollywood. We've certainly tooled around in tanks and armored vehicles before, and would be proud to park this one in the front lot. As with anything, if you have the cash it can be yours–to the tune of just under $50,000 (not including delivery). Here's what Atlantic Firearms had to say about it: You now have the chance to own a highly collectible piece of Military Armor .This Alvis Fox was built in 1971 and served in the British Military . Eventually it was imported into the US and worked for a Movie production company and was equipped with a Sim fire gas powered cannon and machine gun. Atlantic Firearms was fortunate enough to purchase the item from a private collector & it has been used for publicity & events . The unit has been stored inside and not left out to be exposed to the elements . The FOX runs and drives well and is in cosmetically good condition for a 46 year old vehicle. Comes with 1 spare tire , some extra parts and manuals. Payment via Wire Transfer only , Open to reasonable offers. We have not tested the Sim Fire cannon or gun however the control and hoses are there. This is a Military Surplus Vehicle & No warranty. Shipping is the responsibility of purchaser & not included in sale price Explore RECOILweb:Daniel Defense's New Bolt Gun Named Official Rifle of the Precision Rifle SeriesThe Art of the Beat DownPutting a rifle into the SOP from GGGBest CCW 9mm Unsung Heroes NEXT STEP: Download Your Free Target Pack from RECOILFor years, RECOIL magazine has treated its readers to a full-size (sometimes full color!) shooting target tucked into each big issue.
