Boasting 245 lumens on high and 26 lumens on low. This light also combines two unique features a focusing beam and a hidden charging port. The HP3R has the ability to run off of the included Li-Polymer or AAA batteries. On high the light can run for a hour and a half at low your looking at six hours. Obviously using standard AAA batteries will not provide the same lumen output as the Li-Polymer batteries. To switch between the modes just press the tail cap. With a turn counter clockwise and a pull the tail cap lifts up revealing the Micro USB charging port. Great for those of us who use a phone with this charger. The package includes a USB cable, wall outlet, cigarette lighter adapter, 2x AAA's, a Li-Polymer battery and the HP3R. Fairly full featured kit to ensure you have light on the go. Thankfully it did not include one of those horrible Chinese flashlight pouches. The included parts disassembled. Being able to take a rechargeable battery or AAAs is a great feature. The beam of the light is able to go from a nice flood filling up a good area or, for that extra reach, a turn of the bezel focuses it down to a bright almost square shape. This is a useful feature when it comes to illuminating a work area while holding the penlight in your mouth or for checking out that noise in the back yard at night. The H3PR easily disappears in a pocket, or fits in some PALS webbing as a quick light to grab. The H3PR is backed by Coast's lifetime warranty on defects against materials and workmanship. With this you end up getting one hell of a penlight that you don't have to worry about. The HP3r retails for $94.99 and you can pick one up here.
