Crimson Trace offers a wide variety of laser sights for Smith & Wesson handguns. You can now pick up the Crimson Trace LG-489G Laserguard with a green diode for the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield chambered in 9mm or .40 S&W. The polymer LG-489G Laserguard fits on the trigger guard of the pistol with no special tools for installation and is intended to provide quick target acquisition when the green laser is activated. A tool is provided to adjust for windage and elevation.
The LG-489G Laserguard for the M&P Shield has a front rubber pad activation switch for instant on/off and is powered by a 1/3N battery with over 2 hours of battery life. Owners of the laser sight can receive free batteries for life with purchase through a special program offered by Crimson Trace. As many people can attest, green lasers offer superior visibility in day light and low light conditions. The new LaserGuard features the same fish scale slide serrations as integrated by Smith and Wesson on the M&P Shield. MSRP for the Crimson Trace LG-489G Laserguard is $299. There are already a variety of compatible holsters available on the market to secure the M&P Shield with the LG-489G Laserguard in place.
