Daniel Defense’s New Bolt Gun Named Official Rifle of the Precision Rifle Series

The recently introduced Daniel Defense Delta 5 bolt action rifle has been named the official rifle of Precision Rifle Series. The Delta 5 brings a level of modularity that is normally restricted to PRS Gas Gun shooters with a user interchangeable barrel and a user-configurable stock.

While the Delta 5 brings some interesting features to the table, the move to make it the official rifle of PRS is interesting since the MSRP is just a touch over the $2,000 price limit for the production class. All is not lost but you would have to shoot in either Tactical division in .308 Winchester or choose to brave in Open division with the 6.5 Creedmoor against custom built guns.

Daniel Defense incorporated several features that PRS shooters have been paying through the nose for like a 60-degree bolt throw thanks to a three lug bolt, easy caliber changes, a single stage Timney trigger, and the ability to run AICS mags with Daniel Defense's bottom metal.

The current MSRP for the Daniel Defense Delta 5 is $2,199 with caliber choices in 7mm-08 Remington, 6.5 Creedmoor, and .308 Winchester. Learn more on the Daniel Defense website.
