That's the advice Valors Mark Co offers. They even put the truism on these dog tags to remind you of it. Valors Mark Co. is run by Mallissa Nuse, patriot, vetrepreneur (and Harley rider). A self-described cigar snob, Nuse is clearly a driven and passionate individual. She's veteran Combat Medic of the US Army National Guard who has been in EMS for over a decade and a half (currently an EMT she'll be taking the test to become a paramedic next month). Her company's motto? Ethos before egos. It's goal? To provide quality, American made products at an affordable price. Note that Valors Mark does not just sell products Doc Nuse has assembled or crafted; it promotes those of other military/veteran owned, American-made companies as well. According to the website, products carried are: “…for the Every Day Carriers, who are looking for the handcrafted, good quality, long lasting product, that is reliable when the time comes for them to come into action.” One of the EDC items Valors Mark carries are custom lanyard beads, like these titanium versions in the VMC custom Carrera pattern. They're designed to fit snugly on a paracord or leather lanyard with a pass-through center hole. This particular lanyard bead is a hand finished, high polish Ti6Al4V Ti, 9/16 in. x 3/8 in. They're sold individually. Those are hand stamped antique copper keychains – God's Army, No Limit and 2%. These are bearded viking lanyard beads: This hand-sewn Valors Mark handkerchief (“hank”) measures 11 in. x 11 in. and is made of 100% pre-shrunk cotton. It comes with the company logo on one side and a choice of red, black, gray or burgundy on the back. Lanyard beads are extremely popular in the EDC community. This is a VM head anodized brass bead (in fact it's the first of its kind). It was and carved, stonewashed and then heat anodized to a honey-like hue. Hole diameter is 7/32 in. Here's another hank. This one features the Stars & Strips, Lady Liberty and other American icons. As Nuse describes it, “This hank has USA wrapped up all in one hank. Gold accents throughout the cloth, shows just how USA rolls. Comes on a deep burgundy backing, with white thread that pops in the fabric.” Here's one of her knives, a blue and black G10 fixed blade. There's a wide variety of other things to see in the Valor Mark store; spine wallets, other knives, a host of other precious metal lanyard beads, etc. If you support small operations and are looking for simple, American made products for everyday use, then Valors Mark may just be for you. As Mallisa explains, “I take great pride in my service to this country. I take great pride in this country, the American people, USA made products, small businesses, and Veteran/Military owned and operated businesses. I've decided that I would like to not only share my work and products with the American patriots, but I would also like to help the other Veteran/Military owned and operated business get their products out to people.” That seems like a worthy enough goal wouldn't you say?
