Learn More This past weekend, hundreds of shooters descended upon Blakely, Georgia for the first Precision Rifle Expo. The expo was held at the world-class Arena Training Facility. Arena is one of the largest tactical training facilities in the southeast. With over 2,300 acres, its ranges include a 2,200 UKD, a 1,000-yard KDR, several pistol bays, and much more. This place is a shooter's paradise. The Precision Rifle Expo was put on with the intention of bringing precision rifle shooters together, whether a beginning enthusiast or a seasoned professional. Attendees were given the opportunity to learn from the best in the business, and lay eyes and hands on some of the best gear made. Throughout the weekend, several classes were offered, giving attendees the opportunity to take home a wealth of knowledge. Classes offered were: Precision Handloading by Troy Lawton, Wind Reading by Email Praslick, Position Building by Tyler Payne, Kestrel by Katie Godfrey, Intro to Competition by William Pace, and Marksmanship and Long Range by Frank Galli and Scott Satterlee. The ability to learn tips and tricks from professionals in the industry would have made the registration fee for this event worth it. In addition to some classroom time, attendees had the opportunity to handle some of the top gear and guns in the precision rifle industry. Exhibitors include: ACTIONS: Curtis Custom, Stiller's Precision, Kelbly's, Defiance OPTICS: Schmidt & Bender, Leupold, Vortex, Kahles, Swarovski, Bushnell, Nightforce AMMO AND RELOADING SUPPLIES: RCBS, Starline Brass, Area 419, Federal, Berger, Lapua, Alpha Munitions, Whidden Gun Works, SK STOCKS AND CHASSIS: Manners Composite Stocks, Masterpiece Arms, MDT chassis, McMillan Stocks TRIGGERS: Trigger Tech, Timney SUPPORT EQUIPMENT: Armageddon Gear, Really Right Stuff, Cole-Tac ELECTRONICS: Magnetospeed, Kestrel RIFLE BUILDERS: Vudoo Gun Works, GA Precision, McWhorter Rifles, Accurate Ordnance, Masterpiece Arms, Kelbly's, Barrett, West Texas Ordnance MISCELLANEOUS: Warne Scope Mounts, Proof Research Barrels, Rugged Suppressors, Knights Armament, Atlas (B&T Industries), Hunts Long Range Attendees were not just restricted to looking at and handling the gear and guns, but several products were available for live fire testing, including several of the showcased Vudoo Gun Works rifles. As an added bonus, a few attendees even had the honor of shooting the .416 Barrett owned by Robert Brantley, who was crowned the 2018 King of 2 Miles, and testing their skills out to 2,300 yards.
