Featured Friday Night Gun Porn: RailScales Recoil Staff June 5, 2015 Join the Conversation Neither KeyMod nor M-LOK  protective covers (both for the forend systems themselves, intended to keep you from being burned) are as ubiquitous as Picatinny covers; not even close. This shouldn't be a huge surprise, given the comparatively young ages of the systems, but manufacturers took notice. RailScales might not be the only option but they're a good one, and they're damn sure tthe most photogenic. Enough so that we thought it would be appropriate for tonight's Friday Night Gun Porn. Located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, RailScales fashions their covers from G10–just like high end knife handles which they texture using a CNC machine (they take much of their design philosophy, in fact, from the custom knife world). Most recently they added the S3 ‘Scale Stop', a serrated hand stop, to their lineup. The Scale Stop is available in a variety of materials, including G10, aluminum, and even titanium. You can visit the homepage of RailScales here, and of course you can visit them on Instagram or Facebook. Photos courtesy of RailScales social media channels. Click any image to start gallery view.
