Hornady Releases New Handgun Hunter Ammunition

It's safe to say that Hornady knows a thing or two about making high-quality ammunition for every occasion, including hunting. For those who like to get up close and personal on a hunt, Hornady has released their new line of Handgun Hunter ammunition. Every detail of this ammo is purpose-built to be as rugged as those who use it.

Handgun Hunter ammunition is manufactured with Monflex® bullets, a tough copper alloy which aids in weight retention as well as penetration. Bullet expansion is aided with a proprietary elastomer material which has been added to the bullet's open cavity. This elastomer compresses, and then pushes out upon impact, allowing the bullet to expand faster, and leading to that pass-through that hunters covet.  Additionally, Handgun Hunter ammunition comes with premium cases, primers, and propellents. Essentially, Hornady takes everything that you need and expect from a rifle round and packs it into a tough little handgun cartridge.

Hornady Handgun Hunter Ammunition is currently available in the following cartridges and bullet weights:

• 357 Magnum (130 gr)
• 40 Smith & Wesson (135 gr)
• 10mm Automatic (135 gr)
• 44 Remington Magnum (200 gr)
• 454 Casull (200 gr)
• 460 Smith & Wesson Magnum (200 gr)
• 9mm Luger +P (115 gr)
