Kimber Unveils New Line of Hunting Rifles at SHOT Show 2020

Anyone who visits the Kimber booth at SHOT Show expects to be met with a seemingly endless array of beautiful pistols. The same was true this year, but Kimber had something else that caught my eye –their new Open Range Pro Carbon Rifles. Kimber left no stone unturned when designing these ultra-lightweight hunting rifles.

The first and most obvious feature to me was the Proof Research barrel (24-inch with a medium heavy contour, to be exact), which comes standard on all of the Pro Carbon Rifles. Additional features include an AG Composites carbon fiber stock, an adjustable trigger, an 84M action, and all models come standard with a thread protector and muzzle brake. Pro Carbon Rifles come in two color options- Open Country and Granite. Two caliber options are available, 6.5 Creedmoor and 308 Winchester.

From Kimber, “All Kimber rifles are patterned after the storied, Mauser-style, controlled feed actions with three-position wing safeties and locking bolts. Kimber rifles offer a combination of features that set them apart from all other production brands. Barrels and chambers are machined to critical, match grade dimensions with exacting quality control.”

All four models weigh in at less than 6.5 lbs and will have an MSRP of $3,099.
