There is no doubt about it- lever guns are timeless and cool. Last year, Marlin redefined the look of the traditional lever gun with the release of their Dark Series. The first release consisted of two models: their Model 336 chambered in 30-30 Win and their Model 1895 chambered in 45-70 Govt. Later in the year, they released another Model 1895 chambered in 444 Marlin.

Now, Marlin has released two new calibers in the Dark Series. Both are 1894 models, with one being chambered in 357 Mag/38 Spcl and the other chambered in 44 Rem Mag/ 44 Spcl. The two new models have an MSRP of $1,099.

All models have the following features:

  • Carbon steel with Parkerized finish
  • 16.25” threaded barrel
  • 410 bore has an unthreaded 18” barrel with extended choke tubes
  • PG stock painted black
  • Black XS Lever rail
  • Big loop lever
  • Black paracord sling
  • Black paracord wrap on lever
