New Beretta 92 Elite LTT From Langdon Tactical & Beretta

When we think about the Beretta 92 series of pistols, four people come to mind, John McClain, Martin Riggs, Dave Harrington, and Ernest Langdon. Since McClain and Riggs are fictional and Super Dave already has a Beretta that bears his name (The Beretta 92G-SD) Ernest Langdon took a stab at building the perfect 92 series Beretta with his new 92 Elite LTT.

Had the producers of the Lethal Weapon TV show not ruined everything by giving Martin Riggs an HK VP9, this would have been the perfect pistol for our favorite reckless detective in our totally irrelevant opinion. (Fair warning, we have a soft spot in my heart for tricked out Berettas.)

*Stares in disappointment*

Beretta nerds will instantly recognize the Vertec slide with front cocking serrations (yes, please!) and probably also spot the dovetailed fiber optic front sight as well. The safety has been replaced with a G model de-cocker making inadvertent application of the safety no longer a problem.

Good ol' Ernest might have hit it out of the park with this one.

Other slight changes to the Beretta 92 Elite LTT are a 4.7-inch stainless barrel with a target crown similar to the Elite II as well as a stainless steel trigger in place of that plastic thing that has been making its way onto Berettas in recent years. Ernest also fitted a solid steel guide rod to add a touch of weight in the right places.

Foward serrations, a Vertec slide, and an M9A1 frame? What isn't to like?

Langdon used a flush spring cap to keep the butt of the gun clutter free as well as beveling the mag well to ease mag insertions. The Elite LTT also gets a nicely checkered backstrap, an M9A1 frame with a light rail to hold all the lumens, and several more slight touches to take the 92 series to the next level.

Sliding a fresh mag into that void should be easy as pie.

One of the slight touches that most Beretta shooters can agree is probably the most impactful, the slight radius on the underside of the trigger guard. While this might seem insignificant, you have to remember that without the radiused edges Beretta normally includes two knife edges on the bottom of the trigger guard that eat your middle finger on long range days.

No more sharp edges on the bottom of the trigger guard!

If you are the type that has to have all the specs and isn't satisfied with the Beretta 92 Elite LTT's good looks, not only does Ernest tell you all about the gun himself in the below video, but we have included all of the specs that your heart might desire below that.

Putting anyone other than Mel Gibson as Martin Riggs is sacrilegious, I was genuinely insulted when I saw that.
