New FDE, OD Green, and Gray Color Variants For The Springfield Armory Hellion 5.56 Bullpup

New from Springfield Armory comes three new colors for the Hellion rifle! What was only available in black is now available in OD Green, FDE, and Gray. These are the 16” barrel versions only, the 18” and 20” barrel is (for now) still only available in black.

The new colors come in at the same MSRP as the black 16” rifle, $2,000.

Some extra good news for our friends in lower-capacity limit states: all three of the new colors also come in a low-capacity version that ships with 10-round magazines. Standard Hellions ship with 30-round mags.

These new colors come out of the box with the standard configuration. Integrated flip-up iron sights, 16” CMV Melonite barrel with a 1: twist, 2-position adjustable short-stroke gas piston, 4-prong flash hider, ambi charging handle, ambi safety, and a BCM Gunfighter Mod 3 grip.

Normally, new colors aren’t interesting enough for us to talk about. But seeing more support for this rifle is encouraging for its long-term availability. If you’re a bullpup kind of person, this is one of the best on the market.
