New goodness from Lancer

Lancer announced and or released four new AR components this morning; the L7AWM 25-round .308 magazine, QD single point sling mount, 416 replacement handguard and a pretty badass one piece Adaptive Magwell. The latter, a simple and easy-to-install flared magwell, was designed to significantly reduce reload times (which it apparently does).

Says Ty Weaver (Director of Lancers Advanced Weapons & Components Division),

“The products we’ve introduced for 2015 were engineered to provide applicable solutions for operators. Whether it’s reducing total rifle weight with our carbon fiber handguards, adding round counts with a 25-round .308 magazine, or coming up with magwell adaptors to help a Soldier reduce his or her reload time, we’re talking to end users and finding ways to improve their shooting experience.”

Here's a quick rundown of what they're currently talking about over at Lancer's booth at SHOT (#7503), per the press release:

L7AWM 25-Round Magazine
Lancer’s L7AWM, an advanced hybrid 7.62X51mm magazine, is now available in a 25-round capacity; the largest in Lancer’s L7AWM family of magazines. Like the 20- and 10-round L7s, the 25-round incorporates a unique, dual steel feed lip design that wraps completely around the magazine to maximize stiffness and feeding reliability while minimizing wear and dimpling. The magazine body is created with impact resistant polymer. The L7 25-round is engineered to work within multip

le platforms, including DMPS and variants, Knights SR25, SIG716, and Remington R11 RSASS. It will be offered in a variety of translucent and opaque colors, including clear, translucent smoke, translucent black, translucent dark earth, opaque black and opaque flat dark earth.

Available late spring 2015. MSRP $47.99 for opaque and $54.99 for translucent.

Quick Detach Single Point Sling Mount
Lancer’s Quick Detach Single Point Sling Mount (SPSM) is a low profile, ambidextrous single point sling attachment. The quick detach system allows for easy mounting and removal from existing QD cups with the push of a button. The Quick Detach SPSM features a nylon coated, stainless steel braided cable and attachment points that swivel independently, allowing operators to maneuver silently and quickly transition to off-hand shooting.

Available April 2015. MSRP $59.99.

416 Replacement Handguard
Lancer has created a lightweight, carbon fiber handguard to replace the HK® OEM handguard, reducing total component weight by 24 percent. The Lancer 416 Replacement Handguard requires no modification to the rifle; removal returns the weapon to its original condition. The handguard’s free float, hybrid design incorporates an aluminum sight rail and end cap with a carbon fiber body. The sight rail aligns with the 416 upper receiver. The handguard can be used over a suppressor.

Like all Lancer carbon fiber handguards, the 416 replacement will resist heat associated with high volumes of fire and is rigid enough for heavy use. Cooling slots are provided to manage barrel temperature and accept Lancer’s standard accessory rails. Carbon fiber provides better insulation than aluminum, will not heat soak from sun exposure, and, when heated, cools down rapidly.

Available now. MSRP $362.57.
