Featured NRA 2017: The DD Wave 3D Printed Silencer from Daniel Defense Rob Curtis April 28, 2017 Join the Conversation Daniel Defense's new DD WAVE sound suppressor is named in part for its advanced cascading wave baffle geometry. DD says the rolling stack attenuates sound more effectively than traditional baffle styles. The 7.62mm silencer's one-piece, 3D-printed Inconel construction eliminates the need for welds, which are typically the weakest points of a traditional suppressor. A quick-attach coupling prevents carbon lock and securely mounts the suppressor using a durable 17-4PH stainless steel, acme-threaded muzzle device. The can is constructed of stainless steel, Inconel, and titanium. It's then salt bath nitrided finished and Cerakoted. Daniel Defense says the 3D printing process for each silencer takes seven days. MSRP for the silencer with a muzzle brake is $1157. The direct thread version is $986. The can is expected to ship to dealers in July, 2017.
