Learn More Products like Reactor Tech's Fusion Module take precision shooter aids to a place far beyond the paper logbooks and bubble levels of only a few years ago. With only a USB-C port and a single red button it would be easy to overlook the Fusion Module at a glance, especially since all the badass witchcraft happens inside the box, then is transmitted to your phone via Bluetooth. The Fusion Module isn't compatible with every rifle on the market right out of the gate, but shooters with a quality synthetic stock will be able to have a pocket milled into the barrel channel to accommodate the Fusion Module. As long as you have two M-Lok slots worth of space on the bottom, you should be able to drop the module in on most chassis systems like the new Greyboe chassis Reactor Tech used to demo the Fusion Module. The Bluetooth connection between the Fusion Module and the app for either iPhone or Android passes data that you would expect to see like inclination, declination, the cant of the rifle, and compass heading. Reactor Tech kicks it up a notch by adding in GPS data, barrel temperature, weather pulled from the nearest weather station, and even an accelerometer that can be used to track recoil control. Because the app will track each shot taken with the Fusion Module installed, the app allows you to build a digital logbook. Add in data from a Kestrel or the other weather meters that Reactor Tech is finalizing compatibility with and you have a tool that has some serious potential. According to the Reactor rep we spoke with, they will even have an in-app ballistic calculator so that you can figure your solution right there in the same app that is displaying the realtime data from your rifle. The Reactor Fusion Module will run you $499 when it hits shelves March 1st, 2020. The app will be available on February 24th at no cost for both iPhone and Android users. About the Author Patrick primarily focuses his range time on sharpening his pistol shooting skill but effectively using precision rifles and carbines are also skills he works on polishing as best he can. When he isn't writing, spending far too much time on the range, maintaining his website, or filming a video he spends his time with his wife, son, and dog.
