A 5.5-inch barrel in 5.56 or 300 Blackout definitely lives up to the name Rattler. The SIG SAUER MCX Rattler comes with a folding PDW stock, which allows the gun to be collapsed and fully functional at 16 inches, making it the shortest rifle on the market today according to SIG. It retains all the ambi controls found on the MCX. The upper from a Gen 1 MCX is interchangeable with the new version and barrels can be changed in the Rattler platform, so you can go back and forth between 5.56 and 300 Blackout. Subgun size with AR power? We expect this to raise a few eyebrows.
