NEW From SB Tacatical, The SBA5 Pistol Brace [First Look]

NEW from SB Tactical comes the next iteration of the best pistol brace on the market, the all new SBA5!

Now that we’re all able to again enjoy our pistol braces, it’s exciting to see SB Tactical come out with a new version of their best design.

The SBA5 has 5 positions of adjustment, a stiffer brace, and QD sling cups on both sides. With a standard mil-spec buffer tube the SBA5 is adjustable between 7.5 to 10.25-inches in length of pull.

MSRP is $125 but street price looks to be around $100. Available in both FDE and black. The SBA5 is made in the USA.

“The SBA5™ Pistol Stabilizing Brace® is 5-position adjustable and designed for all platforms capable of accepting a mil-spec carbine receiver extension. Featuring an integral, ambidextrous QD sling socket and an arm cuff based on the original SB15®, the SBA5 greatly enhances the usability of the host firearm by providing an additional point of contact.”

A question that comes up a lot is the legality of pistol braces. The short answer is yes, it is legal (again). While the BATFE is doing its best to make braces illegal, the current state of court cases makes them legal for all persons to own and use.

There are multiple court cases to watch but the two major cases are Mock V. Garland and Watterson V. BATFE.

Mock V. Garland set the stage with a ruling allowing the case plaintiffs to use their braces, Watterson expanding the ruling to include everyone. Both cases are being appealed.
