Learn More We got a slightly longer look at what we can expect from the upcoming Star Wars movie, Rogue One yesterday with the release of the trailer you'll see below. The new movie will be the first of several stand-alone flicks in what they're calling the Star Wars Anthology series. The film was written by Chris Weitz and directed by Gareth Edwards. The basic premise of the story, which takes place chronologically prior to Star Wars: A New Hope, is that a band of rebels have to steal the plans to the Death Star and get them to the Rebel Alliance (presumably so Han Solo and Luke Skywalker can earn medals blowing it up, completely doing a Blue Falcon job on Chewie). What the relationship of the rebels in Rogue One is to all the Bothans who died remains unclear.
