The Ashley Update: Lasers, Mobsters, and Tigers

Published by
Ashley Hlebinsky

In our first installment of The Ashley Update, Ashley gives us a rundown of what she's been up to, and she has been crazy-busy, but all positive things. Ashley went from Wyoming to Texas to Nevada to North Carolina, and then finally back to Wyoming. Being the historian that she is, with every visit Ashley drops her knowledge on how each trip relates back to history.

LASER SHOT SIMULATIONS

In Houston, Texas, Ashley visited Laser Shot Simulations to test the simulators and figure out how to incorporate them into the Cody Firearms Museum.

THE MOB MUSEUM

Most people don't go to Las Vegas for museums, but this place seems like a must-see. Ashley has been helping The Mob Museum with updating its gun collection.

SUREFIRE WORLD MULTIGUN CHAMPIONSHIP

Also while in Las Vegas, Ashley stopped by the Surefire World Multigun Championship. An interesting fact Ashley discusses in the video is how shooting sports have a rich history in the United States and in the world.

WINE, WHEELS, AND WILDLIFE

Ashley's next trip was to the Wine, Wheels, and Wildlife event. Being a newer hunter, Ashley was able to experience another side of the hunting through the fundraising event. We were sad to hear she wasn't able to walk away with an all-too-cute chocolate lab, maybe next time.

WHAT'S GOING ON FOR NEXT WEEK

Ashley will be in the office next week, her update will incorporate some of the projects she's been working on at the museum. And, we may get a glimpse at some rare firearms from the past.

Do you have a question for Ashley about anything she's discussed this week or even about some of the little-known things she loves? Ashley has an affinity for all types of whiskey, cigars, and she collects old firearms advertisements of scantily clad women. She is also a member of the Firefly Cult- we don't know what that is, but if she's into it, we're going to figure it out.

RECAP

Ashley travels a lot, go live vicariously through her while also learning about unknown historical facts. Ashley's a rare breed, who is a dream to talk with. She's a lover of many things and is well-versed on all the things we love. We're looking forward to keeping up with her happenings. Check out the next Ashley Update next Thursday at 3pm EST.
