The Best Wild Game Buffet & Charity Raffle in Texas

It's not your typical buffet, but it's one many of you reading this might enjoy – elk enchiladas, rabbit & dumplings, pheasant gumbo, fried venison…you get the idea.

It's the Dripping Springs Wild Game Dinner in the town of Dripping Springs, about 25 miles west of Austin, Texas. It's an annual fundraiser for local charities. This is the Silver Anniversary of the charity – 25 years in a row they've been doing it now. So, why should you care about a seemingly typical “small town” community event, especially if you don't live in Dripping Springs?

The 25th Silver Anniversary Dripping Springs Wild Game Dinner is scheduled for Saturday, February 21, 2015 starting at 6:00pm and will be held at the Dripping Springs High School Cafeteria. The dinner is organized by the United Methodist Men from the Dripping Springs United Methodist Church, and is recognized as one of the biggest and longest running event in Hays County.

If you're in Austin or really anywhere in driving distance of Dripping Springs, you might want to check this thing out. Be a good way to do some good over your weekend while doing your part to poke anti-gunners in the eye.
