The CrossBreed Reckoning Is Upon Us

The newest multi-position holster from CrossBreed is here, so I guess the CrossBreed Reckoning is upon us?

The Reckoning is built with the same leather/Kydex hybrid construction that set CrossBreed apart from other holsters since their introduction in 2005. Instead of the rivets normally found on CrossBreed's holsters, they used Chicago Screws to allow the friction retention to be adjusted to your preferences.

Also new to the CrossBreed Reckoning is an adjustment behind the trigger guard that allows you to fine-tune the retention even further. CrossBreed says that the retention provided by the Chicago Screws is a more constant feel through the draw stroke similar to a tight leather holster. If you prefer more of a “snap” from your retention device, Crossbreed says that the secondary retention mechanism is your jam.

Initially, the Reckoning will be offered for most Glock models, 1911's in 3-inch, 4-inch and 5-inch barrel lengths, Walther PPS M2, Ruger LC9, both generations of Smith & Wesson Shield, SIG Sauer P320, and P365.

More from CrossBreed:

SPRINGFIELD, MO – CrossBreed® Holsters, manufacturer of premium concealed carry holsters, has just announced a new holster that blends the company's high-grade leather and Kydex construction with dual integrated retention systems. Dubbed The Reckoning, this new holster effectively combines the company's renowned fine leather craftsmanship and comfort with broad carry adjustability and positive retention points typically associated with tactical-level holsters.

The Reckoning uses Chicago-style screws to secure the Kydex pocket to the leather backing, allowing the users to adjust the tension between the backing and pocket for the desired friction retention. A second retention device is located beneath the trigger guard. This is also a passive retention system that allows the user to adjust the tension against the trigger guard. Combined, the two systems permit the wearer to achieve the ideal level of tension according to their draw style and preferences.

Further adding to The Reckoning's user customization is its ability to be worn in various positions inside the waistband (IWB). These include strong side, appendix, or cross-draw. What's more, The Reckoning is offered with an outside waist band (OWB) clip kit to provide users a quick means to convert the holster to an OWB carry profile.

As with all CrossBreed® leather-backed holsters, The Reckoning is offered in several top-grain leather options, including black cowhide, premium horsehide, and Founder's Series vegetable-tanned leather.

The Reckoning is currently available for many of the more popular pistol platforms, such as GLOCK, Smith & Wesson M&P Shield, Sig Sauer, Ruger, 1911, Springfield Armory XD, and Walther PPS M2. More models will be offered soon. CrossBreed® covers the new holster with its Lifetime Warranty and extends the same two-week Try It Free Guarantee as on all their holsters.
