Learn More With the Kahles name instantly bringing the thought of incredibly clear glass, quality, and well-thought-out features to mind, it's no surprise that the new Kahles K525i has me drooling like a '90s teenager who just got the new JC Penny catalog. The Kahles K525i adds one more option to the growing list of precision riflescopes that are jaw-dropping (for an optics nerd) and it includes all of the features you would expect from the high-end Austrian optics company that made its name by pioneering the riflescope as we know it today– as well as the first to offer a waterproof riflescope in 1960. Building on the successful K318i riflescope, the new flagship K525i is described by Kahles as “the perfect package for the highest demands.” With a very useable 5-25x power magnification range and a large 56mm objective lens, the K525i is no doubt going to be a contender even though it is going to carry a rather lofty MSRP of €3,300 (or $4055.03 in freedom dollars). I wouldn't be dissuaded by the MSRP, retailers like EuroOptic.com are already taking pre-orders at $3,299.00 putting it directly in competition with many Leupold, Nightforce, Schmidt & Bender, and other high-end optics built on either side of the pond. Specs from Kahles' Press Release: Kahles said they will be offering the K525i in 5 different first focal plane reticles (SKMR3, SKMR, MSR2, Mil4+, MOAK) as well as in MOA and MIL versions with click values of 1/4 MOA of 0.1 MIL. The company also said the scope will be offered in right and left-handed versions that have the “Twist Guard” windage knobs on either the right or left side of the scope and Kahles' signature parallax wheel integrated into the elevation turret. As previously stated, the MSRP for the Kahles 525i will be €3,300 or $4,055.03 at the time this was written. You can find more information on the Kahles website if desired.
