The Can Cannon is essentially an AR15 upper that uses blanks to launch soda cans down range. It can't fire live ammo. It's hard to imagine ways it could be used as an offensive device that couldn't be done with real firearms more effectively. Nonetheless BATF has (apparently) reclassified it as an NFA weapon depending on what type of lower it is mounted to.
As you can see from X-Products letter, they are working on another version that will hopefully be non-NFA…well good luck with getting consistent rulings that they won't change their mind on from BATF. We will be bringing our readers more on this story as it develops.
