Learn More Just before SHOT Show, Geissele unveiled their new Geissele Super Duty LE line of rifles aimed squarely at the LE market. While the LE market rifles were the focus, the more exciting announcement was saved for SHOT even though it was briefly mentioned in the Geissele live stream. Geissele will be offering a rifle that isn't limited to LE customers and each build will be built bespoke for the customer. As you might imagine, we were looking forward to putting our hands on the new consumer market Geissele blasters. We covered what you can expect from the Super Duty line in the Super Duty LE post and based on what we were shown at SHOT, we expect the consumer line to share many of the features. Geissele is using their new SSA-X Lightning Bow trigger as an exclusive on the Super Duty line of rifles and as expected, it's Geissele good. Just about everything appears to be made in house, right down to the G marked mag catch. The level of detail that went into the Super Duty rifles on display wasn't easy to overlook. Touches like nice knurling on the takedown pins and magazine release button. Geissele even ensured that the QD endplate was properly staked to secure the castle nut with deep, square stakes that fill the voids on the castle nut nearly completely. Now you might have noticed the lack of anti-rotation tabs on the handguard in an earlier photo. That is because Geissele built a tongue and groove anti-rotation feature into the handguard and upper receiver. The closer that we looked at the rifle, the more pleasant surprises we found like the bombproof installation of the Geissele Super Gas Block. While we were on the lane at Range Day, we had to take a close look at their LE line of rifles. When compared to the consumer Super Duty, the LE line of rifles is no frills keeping in line with the patrol rifle focus. While the rifle is obviously built to a standard that most SWAT men would be happy to have on their next call out, the basic build was really aimed at individual officers. Currently, there is no starting MSRP to share with you all, but expect to see the consumer line of rifle start shipping later this year. Find more information on the Geissele website.
