Back in 2017, Magpul released the X-22 Backpacker for the Ruger 10/22 Takedown, and it quickly became the stock of choice. So it was only natural that we'd soon see a Ruger PC Carbine stock design for the newer Ruger PC9 Takedown It's known simply as the Magpul PC9 Backpacker. You're not going to find any surprises here, as this Magpul PC9 Backpacker is an up-sized model of the X-22. You'll have the same barrel stowage ability for transport, M-Lok slots for accessories, and on-board storage you got with the original. Magpul really though of everything with this adaptable Ruger PC Carbine stock. There are multiple options for sling attachments, including QD (quick-detach) sling mount cups. And keeping with the stock's survivalist design, there's a storage compartment in the pistol grip, which is water-resistant. There is also a cavernous compartment under the cheek riser for fire-starting stuff, medical supplies, extra rounds, or whatever you need to carry to deal with a SHTF event. It truly is the ideal backpacking solution to carry your 9mm or .40 S&W. I have a Ruger 10-22 and a PC9. The 10-22 fits me perfectly but the heal drop on the PC 9 is was to short; too high. I can't even get my eye in the sight line with ear covers on. Dopes your stock have more heal drop?
