For this Monday Morning EDC we bring you three different 9mm Glock options. You can call them small-medium-large, or if you're into Starbucks: Short-Tall-Grande. We don't go all the way to Venti or Trenta, but you can do that yourself with a Glock 34 or 17L.
EDC Loadout #1: Glock 17
The focal point of this EDC is a Glock 17. Well actually, more of a pieced-together Glock 17. A “fish gill” RTF 2 slide with threaded barrel, on top of a standard Generation 3 frame equipped with skateboard tape on the off-body side. Call it the poor man's solution to stippling. The Glock also features Trijicon HD sights. The Glock is riding inside a Raven Concealment Eidolon holster. The belt is an Ares Gear Aegis Enhanced, which is extremely stiff (as Ares Gear says, “Stiffer is Better”). The spare magazine is in a Snagmag holster, which goes inside the pocket and externally appears to look like a pocketknife. Speaking of knives, this EDC also has an old AXIS-lock equipped Benchmade. Though the particular model name has long been forgotten, it's very similar to the Benchmade Griptilian.
This Glock 19-centric EDC features a KSG Armory Velox holster. Intended for appendix carry, the Velox carries both the pistol and the spare magazine in the same rig. The spare Glock 19 magazine is dressed with a Henning Group Blue-Line extension for more rounds on tap. The belt is a Grey Ghost Gear Paladin belt, which is extremely robust. While the Multicam pattern and Cobra buckle doesn't exactly scream low-profile, bear in mind that it rides underneath a t-shirt or similar. The knife, intended for support-side carry, is a Ka-Bar TDI Law Enforcement knife. The Ka-Bar has an angled blade in order to maintain a lower profile on the belt while still remaining useful as a defensive implement.
The final EDC of the day is all about low profile. The Glock 43 is cruising in a Mini-Concealment Holster with Ulticlip by Advanced Holster. It's tuckable, and provided your trousers fit properly, doesn't even require a belt. The spare magazine is held in a tuckable Modular Accessory Pouch (MAP) by Black Point Tactical. The knife is a 5.11 Tactical LDE Tanto Folder. The belt? A work appropriate standard dress belt; nothing fancy.
