New OD Green FN 509 Pistol– a Bill Hicks Exclusive

If you're a fellow OD green lover, we've got a gun for you that comes straight from the factory. The announcement of the new OD green FN 509, that's a Bill Hicks distributer exclusive, is one of the more tempting pistols announced lately. The FN 509 Tactical is a pistol I feel is nearly perfect right out of the box and being able to now get it in OD green is even more appealing to me.

The OD green frame will be offered on the standard FN 509 as well, both versions will have a flat dark earth slide similar to the tan FN 509 Tactical they released last year. It's interesting that the standard pistol appears to no longer wear the lower profile slide stop the pistol was introduced with. It appears that FN may have upgraded that part on all future pistols to the same part that is used on the FN 509 Tactical in an effort to address a frequent complaint from shooters.

Bill Hicks will be offering both the FN 509 standard and the FN 509 Tactical with tan based magazines that hold 10, 17, or 24 rounds based on the model you choose to order.

The MSRP for the FN 509 Standard is set at $679 for either the 10-round or 17-round version, the FN 509 Tactical carries an MSRP of $1,049 and can be had with either 10-round magazines or with 17 and 24-round magazines. Check the Bill Hicks website for more information.
